Khalil Rivers
Khalil Rivers is a Philodox of the Shadow Lords.
Biography
Khalil defines himself by his pack and their oath to protect Gaia. He always worked best as a strategist next to the throne, able to navigate the space between politics and claw. As the claw starts to eclipse the politic, he will do whatever it takes to not let the pack get lost to the darkness. Even if that means wearing himself so thin that all that remains is a Garou Shadow Lord, rather than any of Khalil.
True to his nature, Khalil was part of the Great Lakes Pack until 2021, but once they came into a conflict with the vampires of the Twin Cities he began to question the leadership of Tyrell Stinar. The Shadow Lord had correctly assessed that the old Ahroun was aching for a glorious death in battle - and Khalil didn't want the pack to go along with their alpha's kamikaze plans. Khalil challenged Tyrell for leadership and he lost, badly.
He was spared, though, but had to follow Tyrell's orders, even if those orders endangered the pack and eventually got his lover and packmate, Vicious, killed during the ill-fated assault against the Tremere Justicar known as Ian Carfax. In the aftermath of the battle, when Tyrell succumbed to his Rage and was put down by Sidone, Khalil and half their comrades left the Great Lakes Pack.
