Koraghiss

Koraghiss is a large Disparate chantry during the Renaissance, located on an island in the Aegean Sea.

Overview

An independent mage named Hajji Abu-Umar Abd-Allah Al-Khanan established the chantry as a neutral ground between the Council of Nine and the Order of Reason. He aided both parties when asked for it but chose not to cast his lot with either of them and not to involve him into their Wizard wars.

Some Disparate mages chose to follow him and his views, that enlightment is something that is something fundamental personal and can only be achieved by just order and detachment. About a dozen mages from different parts of the world maintained the chantry and studied under Al-Khanan's guidance.

Visitors to the island are greeted politely, but must remain on the beach until members of the chantry have had time to assess them. Prospective members of the chantry face intense scrutiny and must disavow any loyalties to the Council or the Daedaleans. However, once admitted, members are free to come and go as they choose.
