Layah

Layah was a shepherd who lived during the third century BC. Her family once had been priests and priestesses in the kingdom of Assyria, but when the kingdom's star waned, so too did her family's.

Layah spent some time sacrificing her blood to a variety of gods, hoping they would restore her family's glory, to no avail. She intended to later do the same at the old temple in Nineveh, though it is unknown what resulted from it.
