Lifeweb (MTC)

Lifewebs (Netit-Sekhem in Iremite) are the currents of Sekhem present within the world, as opposed to the currents the cosmos.

Overview

Through rare, on occasion Lifewebs are created naturally. These places are called oasis (sometimes also a nexus, dragon nest or similar terms) and sought out by several supernaturals for its mythic properties.

Lifewebs of the Arisen

To the Arisen, the "Lifeweb" is the pattern of Sekhem in and around their tombs, which is shaped through the sacred geometry and carefully placed relics that act as a foundation to the web. The Tef-Aabhi are the guild that is most vested in the construction of Lifewebs, but all guilds are involved in it to some extent.

Would they be visualized, the Lifeweb of a tomb would appear as hyper-dynamic, three-dimensional schema—ever-shifting energy patterns forming shapes inside other energy patterns, or breaking off and coursing their way into jagged new diagrams.

Neithian Architecture

Neithian Architecture is the art of constructing Lifewebs, using not only vessels, but also the positions of the stars and natural currents of Sekhem in the earth as guidelines. Iremite nomenclature divides these into djed and tekhen. Djed enhances the effects of Sekhem by drawing it from the cycle of existence, traditionally represented as a pillar. Tekhen regulates Sekhem, mitigating Sybaris and dispersing mystical power, represented as an obelisk. Reliquaries are used to stabilize the Lifeweb, which can either be accomplished through vessels or regular sacrifices.

Built correctly, Neithian structures can hold not only Sekhem, but also Memory.
