Biography

Once a successful gynecologist in New York City, Dr. Lorenz Winkler was forced to retire by the American Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology under threat of full public disclosure of illicit practices (ones that would cast the entire profession in a bad light). A huge settlement was awarded to Lorenz's victims, none of whom will ever again be comfortable hearing the phrase, "Could you hop up on the table?"

Winkler, with the help of new and powerful friends in the Seventh Generation, next accepted a high-paying position with a prominent HMO. In time he manipulated his way into its Washington, D. C., offices as a lobbyist against health care reform. Lorenz has been so successful in his lobbying, especially with the current crop of congressional freshmen, that the Seventh Generation has expanded his influence to include lobbying for the tobacco industry and other volatile, health-and-public-wealth-oriented special interests. He is often seen at right-wing fundraisers, a huge cigar in hand, cheerfully sharing detailed anecdotes of his private practice.

At heart, Lorenz Winkler has always been a corrupter. Now he has dedicated his "gift" not only to women in his care, but to the world.

Lorenz Winkler is an aging, dapper-yet-smarmy man who never wears casual clothing. He clearly enjoys the trappings of wealth and power and possesses a stride wit that he uses to bludgeon those of lower station.
