Lotus
Lotus is a female Metis Philodox Black Spiral Dancer. She appears in Rage.
Biography
Lotus has never been above ground, has never seen the sun, and has never been around anyone but other Black Spiral Dancers and their equally disturbed allies. She fears Gaia's Garou the way children fear the Boogieman or Pup Pid and isn't actually completely persuaded that they are real. She is 20 years old, but has the emotional makeup of an eight year old. She lives too much in the moment to remember her past or to learn from it and has no thoughts of the future. Usually her activities consist of performing simple tasks and running errands for stronger Black Spiral Dancers, but if adventure ever rears its ugly head, Lotus will likely charge into it without realizing what's happening before it's too late to get away.
In her Hive, Lotus is known as the alpha of a pack of pups called The Bad Kids, none of whom are all that bright. She is always running through the tunnels, singing profanities, throwing things, and dancing grotesque little dances. In spite of her metis status (a plus in Black Spiral society) and her irritating personality (often enough to get you killed), she is generally pitied by the others of her tribe, for she is out of touch with her Rage and unable to experience the gift of frenzy. This is enough to break any Black Spiral Dancer's heart.

Burly and short with long, whipping ears; pig eyes; a mostly hairless, greenish complexion; and a cavernous mouth, Lotus is just plain ugly. As she waddles through the bowels of the Black Spiral Dancer labyrinths, she calls to mind Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, though to hear her singing curses in her little girl's voice is to know that Lotus lacks even Gollum's social graces.
