Maggie Two-Woman
Maggie Two-Woman is a Qualmi and a member of the Bella Coola tribe.
Maggie often acts as a guide for anthropologists and archaeologists researching Indigenous history in the Pacific Northwest. She "discovers" interesting new sites fairly often, though Dr. Tom Bedford privately assumes she's actually getting permission to share sites that were already well-known to Native elders.
Her father, Thunder Jack, went to great lengths to keep her out of his den-realm, where his friend Eldridge Bonecrusher lay in hibernation; because Maggie has something of a blind spot when it comes to Rabbit magic, Jack incorporated it into the wards around the realm.
Maggie befriended Tom Bedford after learning he'd written a paper on Rabbit as a folkloric figure, and that he was kinfolk of the Garou tribe that killed Bonecrusher's daughter. She brought Tom to the entrance of the den-realm under false pretenses so he would help her figure out the wards, and took him sideways into the den-realm itself to help her rouse Bonecrusher from Bhernocht — without warning beforehand what was going to happen. She persuaded Bonecrusher not to kill Tom, but rather to go pursue revenge for his daughter, so she could lay claim to the den-realm.
