Maya Sharptongue

Maya Sharptongue, true name Lastri Tabrizi and alias Maya Wind, is a loyalist masquerading as a wandering do-gooder.

Biography

What goes on its knees, then its back, and then rides but goes nowhere? Too easy, you say? I think the Autumn King probably feels the same way about your girlfriend now.

Originally a rebellious, curious individual with difficulties maintaining a settled life, Lastri Tabrizi vanished one day, having been visited in the night by an Other who stole her away to Arcadia. There, he conditioned her to crave his approval, and he stripped pieces her away to replace with parts from those animals he considered best.

After some time, Tabrizi’s Keeper cast her away for a reason unknown to her, with the understanding that he would take her back, should she provide him with 1,001 changelings. Tabrizi took the name Maya Sharptongue and accepted the charge.

Sharptongue now travels from freehold to freehold, building up goodwill to ensure that her predations remain unknown. She is beginning to weary of her work, though, having fallen into a deep spiral of self-hatred, and leaves hints of her treachery in the hopes that someone, anyone, can discover her dark deeds and help her find redemption.

Appearance

Sharptongue’s Mask is of a woman of unknown ethnicity, though there are hints of Mediterranean, Indian, Middle-Eastern, and Southeast Asian ancestry. She has spiky black hair and light brown eyes. Under the Mask, her eyes turn golden and feline. Her face is hawkish and her hair takes the form of feathers.
