Mnemachian

The Mnemachian, also known as the Mnemachian nosferatu, are a nosferatu bloodline of vampires, most commonly believed to hail from the original progeny of Mnemach, and who appeared first amongst the Parisii tribe in France.

History

The bloodline originated in Drutalos, and old nosferatu druid who protected for centuries the Parisii gaulish tribe in the are of Lutetia, the future french capital city Paris. He took a gifted druidess under his protection , Mnemach, who would direct the bloodline in the name of her Sire since the time of the roman invasion.

Dark Ages

In the Dark Ages, in the city of Paris, where the Mnemachians evolve alongside the tremere , led by Goratrix the competition is fierce and numerous clashes happens between the two clans. And that even if a brief alliance united Mnemach to the powerful regent of the foundation of Paris to drop off and exil Alexandre.

Furthermore, Mnemach is aware that a demonic activity grows in the royal capital and she is convinced that the Tremere are not totally strangers to it.

Philosophy

Heirs of ancient druidic rituals, they generally follow the path of Humanity, as their “foundress”. The worship of the old gaulish gods is not, as one might think, at the center of their philosophy . They in fact mostly devotes themselves more to the relations which unite kindreds, humans and natural cycles. In this, abandoning their humanity to follow another Path would be to deny the elementary foundations taught by their matriarch.

The Mnemachiens use their strengths at the service of mankind, of the poor and disadvantaged ones , amongst whom they live, taking care not to inflict on them any suffering due to their condition as vampires. For them, the blood of mortals must not be taken by force (physical or mental) or trickery, but should be deserved. All of this is part of a cycle in which humans and kindreds ensure their survival by respecting a principle of balance.

Despite their monstrous appearance and their rituals of another age, the Mnemachians are among the greatest Prodigals, protecting their communities, sometimes risking their unlives. All of them follow the Path of Humanity , or variations of the Path of Breath or the Path of Community .

But the Mnemachians remain nosferatu and their thirst for knowledge and secrets knows no bounds, especially when it comes to the realm of the occult.

Weakness

like all Nosferatu, Mnemachians have a Appearance of 0. They share the strange appearance of their founder, this diaphanous and almost transparent skin which reveals their veins, muscles and tendons.

Besides that, if they feed on a human chalice that is not fully consenting (and benefiting from his total free will), they will immediately vomit the ingested blood

Organization

The Mnemachians share the nosferatu domain of their matriarch, under Paris. Some have gone with the blessing of Mnemach, often assuming the role of hermit or scholars.

Notes

The Mnemachians have their own specific rituals and also their own path of thaumaturgy : Cammano-Deuonertos. This Major Path, which gaulish name mean "path of the strength of the gods", was developed by the Nosferatu Drutalos. Based on ancient druidic rituals, the powers of this path allow you to take the strengths and qualities of the gods of Celtic "Gaul".

Even though names of these powers and rituals could remind the abilities of the Ogham discipline of the Lhiannan, the powers of the witches are considered by the mnemachians a perversion of the powers of the old gods, calling for blood and sacrifice. An aberration for Mnemach and her bloodline, that will attack and destroy any Lhiannan on sight.

Many paths of Thaumaturgy are named otherwise by Drutalos and his lineage, arising from their reverence to other celtic deities. Thus “Iter Pernis” becomes “Gift of Epona” and “Potestas Tempestarum” becomes “Gift of Taranis”.
