Mow'ruth the Hunter
Mow'ruth the Hunter is an Animal Kami Host who lives in the wild country of rural New Hampshire.
Gaia has charged him with overseeing the balance of "his" realms and making certain that the encroaching human population does not extend too far. He accomplishes his task in various ways - by appearing to lead lost humans to safety, by acting as a hidden menace and frightening off intruders and by conducting guerrilla warfare on unwary campers or hikers. He can and sometimes does befriend humans, but refuses any attempts at domestication.
Overview
Mow'ruth remembers the coming of the Europeans and their Garou kin to North America. He used to have contact with the Native Americans, who acknowledged him as a spirit-creature and gave him offerings from their hunts. He finds his Rage at the loss of the Mother's wild places growing by leaps and bounds and struggles to maintain his equanimity and focus.

Mow'ruth appears as an oversized (25+ pounds) longhaired brown and black tabby tomcat. Many humans who see him mistake him for a feral Maine Coon cat. He has enormous paws, tufted ears, a ruff that lies close around his neck and a full, brush-like tail. His voice is almost non-existent, resembling a kitten's scratchy cry rather than a full-throated cat's meow. He purrs rarely and inaudibly. He understands any language and can telepathically communicate his wants to others.
