Moya
Lady Moya, "Hand of Vengeance," is an Unseelie Redcap and head of black ops of House Balor.
Overview
Born into a commoner family under the rule of House Balor, Moya grew up with the advantage of a thorough education in Unseelie politics and weapons training. She first served as an side-de-camp to Lady Eithlinn, who experimented with recruiting commoners into the Eyes of Balor. Though a few commoners, usually eshu or sluagh, managed to win places among the Eyes, many seemed unable to fit their personalities into their roles as members of the Seelie houses to which they were assigned. They were too eager to draw blood to patiently gather information that might or might not be useful. Moya suggested their talents be put to other uses.
Vicious as a rabid dog, Moya took over the training of agents unsuited to becoming moles and schooled them instead to serve as strike teams. When Eithlinn saw the redcap's success, she got permission to make Moya head of black ops for the House. The ruling council approved the plan and enabled Moya to increase her standing among recruits. Working closely with Lady Eithlinn, Lady Moya and her team perform covert strikes and acts of sabotage. The elite within their own ranks perform assassinations of Balor's "most wanted" enemies. Moya performs many of these murders personally and oversees all interrogation sessions of kidnapped Seelie nobles. Like her patron, Eithlinn, she revels in causing pain and collects souvenirs from each... a ear hear, a finger there. Occasionally, though, she goes so far overboard that even hardened members of her team wonder if she hasn't slipped into Bedlam or just regular insanity. Then again, she is a redcap.
