Muthrum

Muthrum, also known as Muthurum, are First Tongue terms used by the Uratha to describe an entire class of spirits that hold no rank among the Spiritual Hierarchy.

Individual Muthra are barely formed, new-born spirits, with no minds of their own, usually small and weak - comparable to an insect. They aren't even powerful enough to awaken from dormancy, and simply settle in the Hisil close to a source of Essence.

Other spirits feed on them with no more care than a human shows towards fruit.

Spiritual Hierarchy

Spirits are all inherently aware of their relative power to one another, intuitively comparing hundreds of tiny differences. Uratha group them into five main groups:

1) Muthrum (Mote)

  • No rank

2) Hursihim (Gafflings)

3) Ensihim (Jagglings)

4) Dihim (Incarnae)

5) Ilusahim (Celestines)
