Nathan Cord

Nathan Cord is a New York City police officer who, alongside Robert Markan, was involved in the interrogation of Julia Marie Saint, who had been the host of a bhüta. During said interrogation, Cord left the room for a short period of time, during which the bhüta fled Saint's body and entered Markan's. Cord displayed a great deal of concern for his colleague thereafter, believing that Markan's unusual behavior was caused by having watched Saint die, rather than his possession.
