Nonni
The Nonni (singular Nonno/Nonna) are Elder Giovanni, who hold the authority in a specific household by virtue of their age. Not all Nonni are Anziani, but most Anziani are Nonni. While the Anziani technically outrank the Nonni, a visiting Anziano will always defer to the local Nonno, which is considered a sign of politeness.
