Oath of Guardianship

The Oath of Guardianship is an Oath to protect a person, place or thing.

Words

As the sun guards the Earth by day; as the stars by night, so shall l serve thee. This is my duty. I shall not abandon (object of oath) 'til (duration of oath), else may the stars close their eyes and sleep.
