The Oath of the Foretelling is an Oath sworn by the members of House Beaumayn to verify their predictions.
Words
As the Dreaming as my witness, so shall I speak the truth of what I see and nothing else. I shall not close my eyes to any image, nor bend any sound to suit my ears, nor twist my words to shape anything other than the entire truth. May the flames of the dark star consume me if my account is anything but pure.
Overview
This oath was created to convince skeptical audiences that a Beaumayn is speaking truly. It is now traditionally sworn before giving any important visions to another.
Effects
A fae swearing this oath gains 1 Willpower point but suffers 2 unsoakable levels of lethal damage if it is broken. In addition, chimerical tattoo of a dark purple star appears on the offender's forehead, clearly visible, and stays there until some great atonement is made.
