Order of the Rose

The Order of the Rose is a monster-hunting cult loosely affiliated with the Catholic diocese of the American Midwest, originating within a church-sponsored gardening club. After discovering a vampire within the ranks of their junior priesthood, the Order split off from the mainline church, though many of its practices and traditions derive from Catholicism.
The Order of the Rose believes that cleanliness, of both the spiritual and physical variety, is indeed next to godliness. Blossoms, as the members of the Order of the Rose refer to themselves, see supernatural attacks and predators as a reflection of the communities in which they occur. If a werewolf or vampire has chosen to turn a place into its hunting ground, Blossoms believe that the community itself is unclean on some level and being punished for its sins, a modern version of the fate of Sodom or Gomorrah. Thusly, their mission is to not only stamp out the supernatural threats around said community, but also control the places where the immediate threat has been eradicated to prevent future incursions.
Indeed, the elimination of supernatural threats is entirely secondary to the Order's goals, as they seek social dominance above all else. Like some bizarre hybrid of a church community, homeowners association, and multi-level marketing scheme, the Order of the Rose "cultivates" pleasant, vibrant neighborhoods often awash with verdant greenery - a shiny veneer to hide an insidious system of sociocultural control.
