Powderhorn Caern

The Powderhorn Caern is a caern located in the Twin Cities.

Overview

The Powderhorn Caern is older even than the city that currently surrounds it, the space having been venerated by Native tribes long before the founding of the "Mill City" in the 1850s. American colonists eventually built a church upon what they though to be "holy grounds", but it burned down. A second church was built upon the foundations of the first, but by 2021, it had long since ceased to be a place of worship. Now known as "The Volga", it mainly served as a trendy event venue for the upscale neighborhood in which it lay. Regardless, the werewolves of the Great Lakes Pack still knew the caern's true significance, and guarded its grounds fiercely.

When two of their number were severely injured thanks to the Tremere Calder Wendt laying sorcerous wards upon the Volga's interior, the the pack was quick to retaliate. This sparked a conflict between the Garou and Kindred of the Twin Cities that claimed lives on both sides, culminating in the Powderhorn Caern once again being set aflame. Eventually, Prince Cecily Bain managed to broker a truce, ceding the sacred grounds back to their protectors on the condition that they in turn ceased hostilities.
