Praxis (MTAw)

A praxis is a spell Imago that a Mage has gained some form of insight into.

Overview

Through repetition or through practice, a Mage can learn the symbols of a spell by heart. This not only makes her more adept at casting it, but shapes her growing Gnosis.  When using a Praxis, the Mage only needs to roll three successes to gain an exceptional success, rather than five.

Unlike rotes, which must be learned from other mages, or from Grimoires, Praxes are always a personal thing developed by mages as they gain more gnosis. Whenever a mage increases their gnosis, they may pick another Praxis.
