Prentice Turner

Prentice Turner is a morale officer for the Pentex branch operating in the Amazon.

Biography

As a child, Prentice Turner was everything his father didn't want. Hoping for an athletic football star, Edgar Turner instead saw the birth of a sickly wretch of a son toward whom he took an immediate dislike. Naturally, Prentice's childhood was a string of unpleasant events, ranging from being locked in the basement for a weekend to having to wear a dress when the neighbors came over for dinner. It was no wonder that before his 15th birthday, Prentice had beaten his father to death with an ax handle.

Taken from his teary-eyed mother, Prentice was placed by the judicial system in a military school for boys. Now, instead of only his father, he had an entire staff of bureaucratic megalomaniacs hammering at his psyche. All tolled, Prentice learned to suffocate his emotions and maximize his efficiency, and he seemed ready to be reintroduced into society by graduation time. Pentex was ready with a job offer as Prentice left the gates of the facility; he was just what they needed. Recently, Prentice had been reassigned to the Pentex Amazon effort to rekindle the men's spirits. Constant war with the Garou and the local shapechangers has led to high occupational mortality, and Prentice is there to get the men back on track.

Appearance

Prentice is a skinny, pasty, tightly wound drill sergeant type. His hair is perpetually in a military jarhead cut, and he sleeps in his uniform khakis. The creases in his pants are so sharp that the men in his unit joke that Prentice cuts his chair when he sits down. Prentice has a face that would shatter if he smiled.
