Pygmalion
Pygmalion was a talented Ancient Greek sculptor and Demiurge of the Galateids lineage who was immensely lonely. He created a piece of work so fine he begged the gods to bring it to life. And so they did, creating Galatea.
It is believed that instead of Galatea being made of stone, she was of flesh, and the Pygmalion was instead a deranged hermit. Nonetheless, the relationship ended badly.
