Quest:Bloody Roots

NOTE: The Bloody Roots quest has been discontinued as of the full release of Bloodhunt on April 27, 2022. The reward from this quest, the Player Icon "Lazarus" is currently unobtainable if not acquired during the Early Access period.

Bloody Roots is the first quest available at the release of Bloodhunt's Early Access season. The quest involves retrieving items from various places on the map in Prague during game matches and bringing them back to the Elysium after a round ends. You do not need to survive the match to retain the item, you simply need to pick it up to be credited for it. The quest items appear in their designated locations around Prague in the appearance of an Octahedron, like those you can collect for Journal entries. However, when near the location of a quest item, they will be marked with an orange diamond on the map.

Trivia

  • Kirill's comment about the statue he receives denotes that it is a statue of "one-eyed Zizka" this is a reference to the historical figure Jan Zizka, also known as "One-eyed Zizka", a Bohemian general during the Hussite Wars.
  • Maia refers to the item you give to her as a "Svabinsky original". This is likely a reference to Czech painter Max Svabinsky. Her description of it suggests it may be the 3rd image from a series of woodcuts called "Paradise Sonata".
  • The quest reward, "Lazarus" may be a nod to the biblical figure Lazarus of Bethany, or to Lazarus, the 4th generation Cappadocian vampire.
