Quest:Welcome to Elysium

Welcome to Elysium is a new introductory quest added at the release of Bloodhunt's 0.6 patch. The quest involves retrieving items from various places around the Elysium for Custos. The quest items are easy to spot and look like glowing Octahedrons. This quest is unique at the time of its release in that every step takes place within the Elysium itself, and it rewards a Banner instead of a Player Icon like most other quests.

Part 1 - Old and Dry

Custos: While I have you, could you do me a small favor? I'm looking for a particular book that could help us. It should be in in one of the bookshelves here in the Main Hall.

Quest Text: You have been tasked by Custos to find a book containing religious discourse of papal bulls from the late 1500s.
Objective: Find the book.
The book can be found on one of the bookshelves on upper floor in the Elysium main hall.

The book is located on the opposite side of the Elysium from where you spawn, on the 2nd level. You can use the stairs on either side and run around to the back area, or use some clever jumping and the statues on the raised dais to climb up from the ground floor. Head to the bookshelf to the right of this 2nd floor area to find the object. Return to Custos for the next step.

Custos: Ah, the Summis Desiderantes Affectibus. A decress to hunt witch and Kindred alike. It's a big part of why we have to put on this Masquerade in the first place.

Part 2 - Vienna Lost

Custos: I believe we need to dig deeper to understand our enemy. There should be an unpublished biography written by a witness of the Vienna massacre. I might not have put it back in the bookshelf, but it ought to be close by it.

Quest Text: During the Vienna massacre, mortal special forces stormed the Tremere chantry sending most of the vampires present to their final death.
Objective: Find the biography.
The book should be located close to a bookshelf.

Head back to the area from Part 1, but this time go to the far left side and there will be a table in the corner. The quest object is located on top of this table. Return the item to Custos.

Custos: You found a rose but no book? Someone must have taken it without my permission. This isn't a library where you can borrow whatever you like.

Part 3 - A Pressed Rose

Custos: Without doubt one of our own roses must have taken the book. It's most likely somewhere in the Hall of Amenity, close to Maia. Please have a look around.

Quest Text: Custos seems convinced that Maia has taken the book. No wonder, as a harpy, she strives to stay informed about everything that's going on in Prague.
Objective: Locate the borrowed book.
Look in the area around Maia. Or even ask her about its whereabouts.

Head over to the Toreador Primogen, Maia.

Maia: Oh, I just felt like reading something new. Beautiful cover, quite an dramatic story. It did place a rose for Custos to know I borrowed it although I'm not sure where I then put it. But I am sure it's still close by.

Take the stairs in the Hall of Amenity, by the large statue and turn left and back the way you came, but on the 2nd floor. Head down to the end of this path and in an alcove near the end, you will find the quest object sitting on a couch. Return the item to Custos.

Custos: I'm glad you found the book. I wish I had studied this to a greater extent before the attack. The Entity is out for blood, and we are running out of time. We don't want a repeat of Vienna.

Reward

Completing the final part of the quest rewards the "Above and Beyond" Banner.
