Reality Coders
The Reality Coders (A.K.A.: Reality Hackers, Reality Crackers) are a faction of the Virtual Adepts that focuses its efforts on the transformation of our current reality. They are one of the principal contributors to the project of Reality 2.0.
Overview
The faction's origins date back to the 1800's (New Madrid Incident), but they needed more advanced devices to ensure the accuracy of their projects. As such, the faction didn't see much acting until Turing's creation of the computer. Soon after this creation and the Adept's defection to the trads, they were struck with the T-Virus and dissolved as a faction.
When they returned, they used the avaliable technology and their newfound liberty to start messing around with reality. Creating rotes to invade dreams, rewrite life, hack minds and even (some say) to resurrect the dead. This sparked a debate between them and the Nexplorers, who believed the Coders were just kicking a dead body when they should be moving to Virtual Space.
This argument ended after the White Out and the Avatar Storm, which forced all mages to look back to the "dying world" and realize that the real battle for the consensus had to be fought there.
