Riley Wright

Background:

Riley comes from a big family, growing up on the hotly contested streets of Northeast Philly. His pedigree a motley of ethnicity, from Arab to Zimbabwe, Caribbean to Venezuelan, Riley claims it all. His religious upbringing was significantly more confused than his cultural heritage. Tios and tias, the city over filled his ear with everything from Catholic guilt to tithing household loa. Opened to a lot of ideas, Riley took what he could from each but settled on Islam after attending the fourth funeral of his sixth grade year. His Uncle Raj (Roger) read from the Koran about the strength to thrive under hardship and never giving up. Raj introduced Riley t the Ascending Ones, and for better or worse, the Jagged Crescent.

With his mish-mashed upbringing it would be difficult for anyone to proclaim "one true faith." While he's far from devout, Riley does consider himself faithful. More than Allah, he is loyal to the Ascending ones and he's risen quickly within the ranks for a young man. His position on the street had allowed him to tip off hunters in the city when things are going to go down while remaining "undercover." With customers on both sides of the hunter/werewolf struggle, he's not sure how much longer he can maintain an air of neutrality. The wolves are onto the fact that someone is ratting them out. That no one suspects the dealer under the El at the end of the block can only last so long, especially with Riley being too small a fish to provide the amount of product he does.

Appearance:

Riley is nebulously ethnic with a little bit of everybody swirled into his genes. He's a stocky guy, short and broad with a low center of gravity. His clothing is comprised of a perfect mixture of thug-wear meets religious affectation. He wears a gold chain with various religious symbols and figures, including a kitschy Virgin Mary charm, Star of David, pentacle and a chewed on Crescent Moon pendant. He wears a large, colorful tattoo of a phoenix on his right forearm.
