Ritual of the Red Sign

The Ritual of the Red Sign is a theoretical ritual capable of returning a Cainite to a state of life. No one has yet performed this spiritual and physical transformation, and it is liable to be of incredible difficulty, flying in the face of Consensus. Further, the very notion that the ritual could be completed is a dangerous one, opening the gates of impossibility.

The ritual is held, in varying forms and states of completion, in a number of tomes, among them Ex Libris Necro, The Yellow Sign, and Ritual of the Red Sign.

It is debatable what result would follow from the ritual: Whether the newly-mortal vampire would be freed from the urges of the Beast, or whether it would be integrated into him, ensuring the continuation of those monstrous urges.
