Salon

Salons are cliques of Elders with similar interests or goals. That is not to say that the vampires in a particular salon like or even respect each other. Some salons are kept only through teeth-clenched necessity, while others are conclaves of Elders that have known each other since before the formation of the first sects. Vampires that are not Elders are only tolerated as dinner within a Salon.

Nearly all Salons are somewhat twisted, since the ages usually twist the Humanity of any Cainite that has survived this long. Some are akin to political clubs, while others serve to satiate the perverse hungers and tastes of the participating Elders. Others are ways to pass the centuries, like Chess games with each figure representing an asset to the playing Elders, or Scavenger Hunts that seek to obtain rare artifacts.
