Secrets of the Dead River

The Secrets of the Dead River is a pledge upon the River Styx, as was customary in Greek mythology.

Overview

This pledge allows one of the oathbound to keep the other’s secret. If the one bound lets the secret slip, the punishment is permanent silence. The one with the secret agrees to help the other in times of need, a one-sided call to aid.

The Vow

My secret is safe with you, this you promise. And I promise to hold your tongue by dint of my service… or my sword. By the River Styx, may it be so, lest the ash of the dead dread waters drown us both.
