Overview

Background:

Sophie spent all 14 of her years in the shadow of this "war" between hunters and her cousins. Sometimes she wonders if she's the only one who sees how the fighting could just stop. Tomorrow they could all wake up and agree to not kill each other anymore. Short-Kut earned her name among the family when she happened across a skirmish between a gang of hunters and her brothers' pack; she showed the wolves a quick way to escape and saved all their necks.

What her cousins don't know is she did the same thing for some hunters the next week. She's been helping both sides ever since. Now whether she likes it or not she's stick in the middle of the whole war. At least until she gets out of school and can get the hell out of this craziness. Unfortunately, the family has come to watch her more and more intently. They say her gift to know every back way and bolt hole in the neighborhood is a sign she's coming of age and might undergo her first Change soon.

Then they'll never let her go.

Appearance:

Sophie is a skinny little 14-year-old girl with a gap-toothed smile and little afro-puffs tied up with ballies. She's almost criminally cute and flashes a smile that lets her get away with quite a lot. She dresses well, usually in the style of a school uniform despite attending an under-funded public school: sweater vests, drab colors, knee socks and a pleat skirt that falls below her knee. Dressed down, she's likelier to wear an oversized Eagles jersey and jeans with ballpoint doodles drawn on the knees.
