Southern Cross
The Southern Cross is a changeling secret society in the Kingdom of Willows that resents the presence of "Yankee" Sidhe from the North.
Overview
The Southern Cross formed in the Kingdom of Willows just after the Accordance War and is a secret group who, while claiming its about "Yankees," really just wants sovereignty for themselves as opposed to being part of the North-led kingdom of Concordia. They have adopted many of the terrorist tactics of the Ku Klux Klan such as burning chimerical crosses on the lawns of freeholds that support the High King. These vigilantes truly seek to start a civil war in Concordia. While a few moderate members try to state there claims through politics and persuasion, they are in the minority.
The group tends to attract members of the Separatist Impulse and advocates the immediate overthrow of the Parliament of Dreams and an end to Northern "occupation." They keep a list of "undesirables" among the Kithain, and discriminate against any fae born outside of the Kingdom of Willows. While the group is open to any, regardless of kith or status, ostensibly it is made up of members of the Unseelie Court. Of course there area always rumors that the Shadow Court pulls the strings.
Duke Florian ap Ailil, the Ruler of Graceland is the unconfirmed leader of the Southern Cross. They also have strongholds in the Duchy of Appalachia, The Duchy of Cotton, and the Duchy of the Ozarks, anywhere there has been a history of rebellion against authority.
