The Lion's Den

The Lion's Den is a cancelled expansion set for the Arcadia (game).

Summary

From the White Wolf Game Studio January to June Catalog, 1997:

"The third and final chapter in the Arcadia saga." - pg. 77

"Welcome to the third and final chapter in the Arcadia trilogy. The Lion's Den concludes the adventure that began in the summer of 1996 with Arcadia: The Wyld Hunt. The Lion's Den can be played with a single Character and Story Pack, and can even be played as a stand-alone game. Adventurers journey to Skyeholm, the once-great land of High King Ardlanth, now petrified in marble. The characters must brave the onslaught of a mysterious enemy and overcome the treachery of a friend-turned-foe. If you've played The Wyld Hunt and King Ironheart's Madness you won't want to miss this exciting conclusion. If you've never played Arcadia card game before, this is your last chance to write your own page into this fantasy land's history." - pg. 48

Background Information

The Lion's Den was never printed due to the CCG crash that happened in late 1996, over hiring at White Wolf that led to layoffs and the massive cuts made to the White Wolf cards and fiction divisions in response.

The implied story above seems to be taking tropes from C.S. Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and the movie, Return to Oz.
