The Moonstruck
Hunter: The Moonstruck is a sourcebook for Hunter: The Reckoning. It provides ways to include Garou as antagonists in a Hunter chronicle without having to own Werewolf: The Apocalypse.
Summary
- From the White Wolf Catalog:
- Beasts That Walk as Men
- They lurk in the wild places where people fear to tread. They stalk the cities and prey upon the unsuspecting human masses. Man-beasts, shapechangers, werewolves. The name doesn't matter. They're abominations, a part of and a violation of both man and nature. That's why hunters set out to prove who's the real king of the beasts, once and for all.
- Never Cry Wolf
- Hunter: The Moonstruck explores the savage realm of shapechangers as hunters perceive it, learning man-beasts strengths, fears and weaknesses. The predators may seek to cull the human herd, but now they discover that the flock has grown teeth of its own. The hunters become the hunted.

Chapter 3: Trail of the Wolf

Chapter 5: Becoming Prey
Continues "Knowing the Predator" and reveals how little hunters truly know about shapechangers, and what such ignorance can cost them.

Background Information
- Ads at the back of the book include: Vampire: The Masquerade Backlist and Hunter: Fall From Grace.
- Page 13 contains Errata for Hunter Book: Wayward.
- The Prologue, "Heartless," is about a Pumonca trying to protect tourists (Human and one Imbued, Liz) from an attack by Wendigo werewolves.
- Chapters Lost and Nightmares are about a Black Spiral Dancer causing an airplane crash. The survivors of the crash have to deal with it within their midst while also trying to survive near a Red Talon Caern close to Devine, British Columbia. The true goal of the Dancer is to go after the caern, but picks off the human survivors one by one for fun and attacks Red Talons coming after the group. When James figures things out, May thinks he is Kinfolk. But James tries to protect Al and Luke when May attacks them. Al is killed and James is severely wounded, while May flees from the scene. James hopes that Luke is okay, since he is only a kid.
- The chapter Knowing the Predator contains a lot of discussion about what werewolves and shapeshifters are among hunter-net users. A group of Imbued hunters investigate an Endron plant and are later killed in a fire caused by a Pentex clean-up crew. The continuing chapter Becoming Prey are about a group of Imbued hunters encountering a pack of werewolves assaulting an (Endron) nuclear plant near Suffolk. The Imbued also kill a Fomori at the plant as well. The Garou have picked up the scent of the Imbued. SixofSwords29 is able to interview one of the pack members to discuss about the Fomori, but the Garou thinks he might be Kinfolk. Kirsty messes things up by going in guns a-blazin' and gets Paul killed in retaliation by the local Garou.
- Chapters Trail of the Wolf and Into Hell make references to Gere Hunts-the-Hunters, Under a Blood Red Moon, Rage Across the Amazon, the "Skinner" killings, The Diaries of Zeerne, "Voras... Dratoesim....," "Songs of the Waning Moon," "The Yellow Truths," "The True Lupercalian Rites," "The White Curtain," "Trismestigus," and "Chronicle of the Black". Kayaker319 gets involved with hunting Garou with Dr. Charles Arthur Rawlings in North Carolina. But it turns out that Charles is actually hunting the Garou for their skins to perform the Ritual of Sacred Rebirth. Their discussions were recorded by the Special Affairs Department. Lark364 talks to a Kinfolk to find out more about what happened to Kayaker319 and Charles fates.
