Transmassion
The Transmassion Mode of Teleportation features the following powers:
• Relay Object: The psion can teleport an inanimate object from one place to another. This power uses short jump range, and the psion must sense the involved locations and the object clearly. At this level, the character can only move things to or from her person, and moving an object from within another person's psi field is more difficult.
•• Relay Person: At this level, the teleporter can transmass people. This functions just like Transmassion 1, just that the Upeo can now apply it to living beings. This is affected by the target's willingness to be moved. This power can be deployed offensively via the "Upeo Death Drop," in which the psion relays a target high into the air and lets gravity take over.
••• Transmit Object: The psion can use the long jump range to teleport an object - anything that she can visualize clearly in its current context. The teleporter should know the object’s location to within about one meter. This also allows the psion to move large masses, and at no point does the psion need to be touching the target.
•••• Transmit Person: Again, this functions much like Transmassion 3, but that the Upeo can now affect living targets. Additionally, she must be familiar with the target of the power and the destination. As long as one person in a group counts as very familiar, the psion can transmit the whole group, provided they are all touching. This is the most common way to send non-teleporters interstellar distances.
••••• Selective Transmasssion: The psion can use Transmassion to separate an object into multiple parts. A living victim opposes the power, reducing the damage the psion can inflict. Even so, almost any successful attack is sufficient to disable the target.
In Trinity d20, the third and fourth level powers are replaced with:
••• Transmass Shield: the psion can selectively warp projectiles and other attacks away from her person, reducing or negating the damage she would've taken.
•••• Transmit: combines the effect of Transmit Object and Transmit Person above.
