Biography

Power. That's what Samuel Connor lived for. What else was there? With power came respect, and with respect came fear. Samuel learned that lesson early in life, from his father. His mother died when Samuel was an infant. Some say it was suicide to escape the abuses of her husband. Others say Samuel's father killed his wife in a fit of rage over an undercooked steak. At any rate, the boy quickly learned that little other than controlling others was worth having.

Young Samuel took that lesson to heart and applied it to every decision, every action, but it wasn't enough. He could never achieve enough power; he wanted to tap into the very essence of power itself before he could be satisfied, but exactly how to do that remained beyond him.

That is, true power eluded him until he found an old book ticked away in a bookstore. The owner told him that all other copies had been destroyed for the occult knowledge they contained and was reluctant to sell this last. Samuel, who by then was in his 20s and already had a reputation for being a shrewd, if ruthless, businessman and politician, was not to be dissuaded. In fact, the woman's reluctance to sell him the book only served to fuel his desire to have it.

That night, as Samuel wiped blood from the book's cover, he knew he had finally found the key that would grant him the power he deserved. Leafing through the pages, he settled on a formula that would bind into service on of the most powerful beings in existence, or so the book promised. The book wasn't wrong, nor was it entirely truthful.

Samuel watched, horribly fascinated, as the thing materialized before him. But his perverse glee turned to stark terror as it looked at him, smiled and happily ignored the mystic, protective boundary that he has so carefully constructed. Samuel, who now answers to Tsannik, finally understands what true power is. And he couldn't be happier.

Appearance

Tsannik is a man of slightly above-average height and build, with brown hair and dark eyes. He has impeccable taste in clothing, cars, women and men. He's good looking, and he knows it. His true form is a Nexus Crawler: a slimy, green thingie with horned protrusions and spindly legs; a long-ass tongue; and lots of mean-looking teeth.
