Uncle Monday

Uncle Monday, named after the day of his birth, was an African Born Mokolé who emigrated to the United States to protect his kindred in the Seminoles, who had fled into the Florida swamps. During a skirmish in the Everglades, he shifted into an enormous Alligator and called hundreds of scaled kin to his aid. They slaughtered the regiment, leaving only one man to return.

Uncle Monday was a Homid Rising Sun from the Congo Clutch, and held off federal troops until 1842, when the government finally called off the removal effort. He still sleeps in the Everglade, other Mokolé knowing they can wake him if needed.
