Wolves in Sheep's Clothing
The Wolves in Sheep's Clothing are a strange cabal of independent ghouls possessed of an unearthly ability to preserve and graft Kindred flesh into themselves, granting them heightened abilities.
Overview
Discarded and abused ghouls forming into their own confederations is hardly a new phenomenon: what sets the Wolves apart is the grotesque ways in which they hunt and slay their former domitors. Through a combination of their own vitae-augmented blood and some unknown tradition of hedge magic, the Wolves are capable of preserving vampiric flesh and organs past the point of Final Death. They then proceed to augment their own bodies with this stolen viscera, eventually transforming them into hideous, stitched-together amalgams of human and vampire, possessed of strengths and stolen Disciplines far beyond that of average ghouls.
It is still unknown exactly where and how the Wolves in Sheep's Clothing originated, though their passing familiarity with some forms of necromancy does point fingers in the direction of the Hecata. Fortunately for Kindred society at large, their numbers remain relatively small.
The Wolves in Sheep's Clothing appear to have a unifying symbol in the form of a shepherd's crook crossed over by an "X" (possibly a reference to the Greek letter "Chi").
Winter's Teeth
Cecily Bain and Alejandra tracked down a trio of Wolves after their slaughter of a group of Nosferatu in the sewers underneath the Twin Cities. Later, a member of the Wolves would assist the Mortician's Army in breaking down a thaumaturgical barrier erected by Calder Wendt in the defense of Galtier Towers.
