Ziyad al-Djahiz
Ziyad al-Djahiz was an Assamite who was present when the Fourth Crusade sacked Constantinople.
Biography
Born to a family of Muslim scholars in Antioch, Ziyad soon came to resent Byzantine rule. During the Crusades, he petitioned his sire to participate, although he was stopped from interfering in the direct battles. Instead, he and his sire assassinated those that they could not manipulate, turning the Crusaders against themselves. His successes earned him the interest of the elders of his clan, who partnered him with Fatima al-Faqadi in order to derail the next crusade. The pair traveled to Venice, where Ziyad faced Final Death at the hands of a rival coterie.
