Abrotanella trichoachaenia Cabrera (1934:85)

Etymology: Greek τριχο (tricho-, "hair") and "achene" (in its Greek root form), after the setose fruit (Swenson, 1995:189).
Type locality: "Ventisqueros del lago San Martín" (1000m), Magallanes region, Chile.
Holotype: Donat s.n. (BA; isotype LP)
