Capassoichthys alfonsoi Taverne, 2015

  • Holotype: MAUS 86.856.
  • Paratypes: MAUS 86.884.

Type locality: Limestone formation of Altamura, limited to Campanian and Maastrichthien, Manduria (north of Nardo), province of Taranto, Puglia, Southern Italy.

Etymology: The name of the new species is dedicated to Mr. Giuseppe Alfonso who discovered two specimens at Manduria.
