Notes

• Eotydeus was erected by Kuznetsov (1973) as subgenus of Tydeus.
• Eotydeus was raised to full genus rank by André (1980: 113).
• The genus was synonymized with Lorryia by Kaźmierski (1989b: 291)
• The genus is not listed either by Kaźmierski (1998) or by Silva et al. (2016).
• Restored as subgenus of Brachytydeus by André (2025: 162).
