- Holotype: FMNH 176215, sub-adult ♂, skin, skull and partial pos-cranial eskeleton.
- Type locality: “Madagascar: Provice de Toliara, Forêt des Mikea, 9,5 km west Ankiloaka, 22°46.7'S, 43°31.4E, elevation 80 m above sea level”.
