Samuel Constantinus Snellen van Vollenhoven

Samuel Constantinus Snellen van Vollenhoven (October 18, 1816, Rotterdam – March 22, 1880), Dutch entomologist.

  • Snellen van Vollenhoven was one of the founders and a member of the Netherlands Entomological Society, and together with Frederik Maurits van der Wulp founded the society's scientific journal Tijdschrift voor Entomologie in 1857. He was curator of the entomological collections for the Natural History Museum, Leiden from 1854 to 1873.
