(rbꜣšꜣy, coat of mail, plural). Probably from a Semitic language. Compare for example Hebrew לָבַשׁ (lāḇaš, to clothe), לְבוּשׁ (ləḇūš, clothing), Classical Syriac ܠܒܫܐ (ləḇāšā, garment), Arabic لَبِسَ (labisa), لِبْس (libs) or even Akkadian 𒇻𒁍𒍑𒌈 (lubuštu, clothing).
