1. The major conurbation composed of Metro Manila and surrounding suburbs, in Luzon island in the Philippines.
   • 1997, Filipinas:

     There are l-o-n-g lines not just in front of the cashier inside the air-conditioned department stores, but also outside on the streets, as stranded motorists brave Mega-Manila's helter-skelter traffic.

   • 2001, AsiaCom: Asia-Pacific TV, Cable, Satellite, and Telecommunications:

     Under the PLDT monopoly, fixed-network rollout in poorer rural and provincial areas outside of the Mega Manila region was severely limited. Therefore, many rural consumers began accessing cellular services before fixed-line services.

2. The area composed of Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa (excluding Palawan), as generally used by TV rating companies.
