- (biology) An evolutionary trend in which the neural and sense organs become centralized at one end (the head) of an animal.
- (medicine) The redistribution of blood flow from the base of the lung towards the upper lobe vessels as a consequence of pulmonary venous hypertension, usually described on a chest radiograph.
