Usage notes

  • In modern Bulgarian the use of the count form for nouns, which represent people, is frowned upon and is considered incorrect by some.
  • The word човек (čovek) has two equivalent count forms - човека и души.
  • The general plural is used in all cases where the noun have no count form, like with мъж (mǎž).
