Etymology
From Ancient Greek δύο (dúo). Cognate with Greek δύο (dýo).
The final vowel -я is analogical to the other numerals: э́на (éna, “one”), три́я (tríja, “three”), тэ́сыра (tésyra, “four”) etc.
