Noun

  1. comb
    • a. 217 C.E., Mishnah. Tevul Yom, section 4.6:
If a pitch-fork, winnowing-fan, or rake, and the same applies to a hair-comb, lost one of its teeth and it was replaced by one of metal, it is susceptible to impurity.
  2. hackle
    • a. 217 C.E., Mishnah. Kelim, section 13.8:
A flax-comb: if the teeth were missing but two remained, it is still susceptible to impurity. If only one remained it is clean.
