Etymology
From Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (cʾp̄wk' /čābuk/, “agile, nimble; excellent”), suffixed from an unattested root borrowed as Old Armenian ճեպ (čep, “haste”). Akin to Old Armenian ճապուկ (čapuk), Old Georgian ჭაპუკი (č̣aṗuḳi), ჭაბუკი (č̣abuḳi), Middle Iranian borrowings.
