Inherited from Aramaic אַרְבַּעֵסְרֶא (arəbaʿesrē), By surface analysis, ܐܲܪܒܲܥ (arbaˁ, four) +‎ ܥܸܣܲܪ (ˁissar, ten); compare Arabic أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ (ʔarbaʕa ʕašrata) and Hebrew אַרְבַּע עֶשְׂרֵה (arbá' 'esré).
